lyrics

(English translation below)

Nadia

Precedió al fin la noche huérfana. Astros,
Sombras, náufragos monumentales,
Vagos e impasibles, efigies corales
Cuyo enigma esconden sin dejar rastros.

Antes de posarse insoportable peso
De la primaria sombra, armonía inaugural,
Canto taciturno del primer río mortal
Tronó en el Abismo, todavía ileso

(Solo: Espinosa)

Debió de ser antes, aquel nefasto día
En que fue el hombre, anónimo apatrida
Solemne, cuya vida corrompida

Pues muchos hombres vanos mueren y huyen,

Vanidosas sombras ajenas a nuestra lengua.
Nombramos indiferentes la tierra de Nadie,
Antes de la primera noche,
Antes del principio.

Nadia

Finally the orphan night preceded. Stars,
Shadows, monumental castaways.
Vague and restless, coral effigies
Whose riddle they hide without a trace

Before the settling of unbearable weight
From primordial shadow, inaugural harmony
The taciturn song of the first mortal river
Thundered in the Abyss, yet unharmed

(Lead: Espinosa)

It must have been before, that terrible day
In which man went, nameless and flagless
Solemn, whose corrupted life
He dragged as an exegete along with his dysphonia

And he could not recognize himself in an Oak
An acacia, a pine, those green mansions
It was not his judgment that of his illusions
To wander shapeless, devoid of fate, a noble quest

Finally the orphan night preceded. He came
Blind, the secret destiny to ignore
Carved into the welkin. Calligraphy
Of disillusion, moving sketches of the path

The passage of time begins to be counted.
For many vain men die and flee,
They’re born, they live, sensing an empty dilemma
They’re lost, shipwrecked, foreign amphora

“Oh, ye awful Gods of eons lost!
Why have you abandoned me in this land of no one?
Why reach this virgin shore
To fashion nations under guidance of the stars?”

Their lament became their path
Thus we marched at the first Aurora
Named indifferent to this land of no one.
Promising stood the mountains,
Solitary as our spirits.

Vain shadows foreign to our tongue.
Named indifferent to this land of no one,
Before the first night,
Before the beginning.
