(English translation below)
No Pudo La Muerte Vencerme
(Solo: Espinosa)
No pudo la muerte vencerme.
Batallé y viví. El cuerpo
infatigable contra el alma,
al blanco vuelo del día.
En las ruinas de Troya escribí:
«Todo es muerte o amor»,
y desde entonces no tuve
descanso. Dije en Roma:
«No hay dioses, sólo tiempo»,
y desde entonces no tuve
redención. Callé en España,
pues la voz de la ira desafiaba
al olvido con mis tuétanos,
mis humores, mi sangre; y
desde entonces no ha cesado
el incendio.
(Solo: Fernández)
De reposo
le sirva tierra extranjera
al héroe. Cante fresca hierba
como abeja del polvo por sus
párpados. Yo no me rindo:
quiero vivir cada día en
guerra, como si fuera el último.
Mi corazón batalla contra el mar
Death Could Not Defeat Me
Death Could Not Defeat Me
(Lead: Espinosa)
Death could not defeat me.
I battled and won. The body
Tireless against the soul;
Towards the white flight of day.
In the ruins of Troy I wrote:
“All is death or love”
And since then I have had no
Rest. In Rome I said:
“There are no Gods, only time.”
And since then I have had no
Redemption. I kept silence in Spain,
For the voice of wrath challenged me
To forget with my piths,
My mood, my blood; and
Since then the fire has
Not ceased.
(Lead: Fernández)
May foreign lands
Give a hero rest.
Sign fresh grass
Like a dusty bee through his
eyelids. I don’t surrender:
I want to live each day at
War, as if it were the last.
My heart fights the ocean.

Everyone knows there's a lot of high-quality metal from Finland, and this album is no exception. Its old-school vibe paired with catchy grooves make it very listenable on any occasion, and the awesome songwriting with lots of interesting details keep it far away from ever becoming boring. Outstanding death metal with blackened touches. For those who dig Beherit, Cryptopsy or Demoncy, check out this LP. Much of this LP owes its brilliance to those who went before; that is, this artist does not deny metal traditions. But there is no pre-fabricated art here, as there is a strong, unique vision in all of the songwriting. The riffs all make sense in their given context; there's nothing that seems superfluous. Very highly recommended listening. Look forward to more from Blood Urn! Wow! xhrl_

This is the most personally appealing piece of music I have run into in a long time - from the beautiful lyrics and art and the crushing, non pretentious gorgeous heavy music. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, crushing - are there are other words? Gorgeous, exquisite.... sock4never

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
